I was lost and alone,
Wandering through waving grass
Next to a river that flowed past
Into the mountains and was gone.
I miss all those I've left behind,
And search for those I've lost
Until I find the end of sorrow
The nightime waters flow by.
And I will cry
A river of tears
Until I find them
Once again
And return from shadows lost,
to be with friends another time
To stop that endless search.

The moon was shining brightly
Upon the face of another
Her hair falls across
Her face,
And her eyes are shadowed.
As I watch
She raises her face to the moon
And her ees light up
Like water drowned stars.
The river flows by
Raoring softly in the night.
Why does it leave me behind?
I'm alone.
And I will cry
A river of tears
Until I am found
Once more
And sing with you
Under the stars.

The night has just begun
And the shadows
Are calling my name.
But I stay
Alone and weeping
In the light
Of a new moon.
And I will cry
A river of tears,
That fall gently to the ground,
Until I see
Once more your face
And laughter ringing in my ears
This pool is where I stay.
